Why choose LOUD Visual Design?

I've Lived It

Varied Experience

As a former band director, I understand the realistic demands on the modern marching band program. That is why I offer hassle-free revisions throughout the entirety of the season, free of charge, and always factor in your students’ skill levels and learning goals. I am willing to work with your budget.
I have taught and designed for all types of bands, including competitive, non-competitive, high school, collegiate, and drum corps, which gives me a wide knowledge set to bring to your show's design.

Collaboration

I will include the director, staff, and creative team in the design process, and will give adequate time for feedback of drafts to really deliver the product that you want.

Professionalism

I adhere to all deadlines, and can provide a quick turn around on all revisions (usually four to six days, if not sooner). I provide high quality videos of the drill for draft approval and for educational purposes during the season.

Musicality

Designing musical drill is very important to me, and I strive for all moves to make musical “sense”. I also will leave very specific notes for possible spots for visuals and featured performers or sections. Drawing on my musical background, I make sure that musicians are set up for success in terms of orchestration in staging, easy moves or holds during difficult passages, and intervals that work best for your size band.

Color Guard Experience

My time working with indoor color guard has given me a keen awareness of color guard and band front needs, including equipment transitions, spacing, and being inclusive of the visual ensemble as a vital part of the band.

Comprehensive Storytelling

I want to help you tell your show’s story through visuals, and will create a roadmap that echoes and enhances your musical and narrative elements. I will list in the notes section of the drill my vision for certain moments, and will be in contact to make sure we all have the same idea.
